Hoya Australis 12cm pot diameter
Hoya australis is an evergreen climbing vine which may reach 4–10 m (13–33 ft). It has beautiful shiny leaves 3–6 cm long and 2–5 cm wide. The leaves are thick and fleshy and grown in sunnier positions will give a yellowish green to the plant while those in shadier locales are dark green in colour. Flowering may occur at any time of year. The flowers appear in clusters and are approx 1.5–2.5 cm in diameter, with five thick, waxy, triangular petals, and white with each lobe marked red. They also have a strong sweet scent.
Bright position indoors. Will tolerate and also enjoy some sun. Avoid hot arvo sun.
Weekly to 10 days in Spring/Summer and approx every 3-4 weeks in Winter.
